Crossroads Trading, an eco-friendly retailer dealing in gently used clothing, will relocate its Montrose store to Rice Village.
Crossroads Trading, which made its Houston debut in early 2016, has leased a 3,010-square-foot store at 2517 University Blvd., according to Baker Katz, a Houston-based retail brokerage firm.
“Crossroads Trading will be a great addition to Rice Village, bringing a unique and cost-effective shopping experience,” said Lunden McGill of Baker Katz. “We are confident Crossroads Trading will benefit from the heavy amount of foot traffic the center receives and consumers cross-shopping with other soft-good retailers.”
Brian Bernstein with Bernstein Investments represented the landlord.
The location at 3217 Montrose, near Snooze restaurant, will close Aug. 13, according to the company’s website. The new location is slated to open Aug. 25.
Since 1991, Crossroads Trading has grown to 35 locations nationwide. The store enables customers to sell gently used clothing for cash or trade; shop for name-brand and designer clothing and keep clothing out of landfills.
