Jason Lax

Jason has more than two decades of commercial real estate development experience, during which he has successfully executed projects ranging from full-scale redevelopment of operating shopping centers to large, multi-acre ground-up retail centers and multi-site development within a concentrated market. In his role, Jason focuses on construction and property management for the growing Baker Katz portfolio.

Prior to joining Baker Katz, Jason was the managing vice president of EDENS, formerly AmREIT, where he spearheaded development and construction projects totaling over $250 million, executed tenant leases and renewals, and assisted in acquiring approximately $750 million in assets. He previously held management positions with Trammell Crow Company and ExxonMobil Corporation.

Jason graduated magna cum laude from Texas Tech University with a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering. He is an Engineer In Training (EIT) and licensed real estate salesperson. He enjoys fishing and attending his children’s sporting activities in his spare time. Jason resides in Houston with his wife, Tina, and his children, Garrett and Hannah.
