Some of the stores in the Brenham Crossing shopping center in Brenham are preparing to welcome customers while one has already opened its doors.
“Everything has gone really well and we have gotten very fortunate with weather over the last year,” Baker Katz co-founder Kenneth Katz said. “The different companies already on board will have staggered opening as the interiors of buildings are being complete.”
According to the Burkes Outlet website, the shop held its grand opening on Feb 10.
Hobby Lobby, Marshalls, Five Below, PetSmart and Aspen Dental have also been confirmed to open this year. Katz verified Rack Room Shoes and MOD Pizza will also reside in the new shopping center.
“We are still working with a lot of other retailers and restaurants but no more are ready to be announced just yet,” Katz said.
While work continues at the shopping site, surrounding roads have also been impacted. Travelers can now drive under U.S. 290 on South Chappell Hill Street again as road construction has been moved to the side.
The shopping center held its groundbreaking ceremony on March 8, 2021.
