Martin Mendoza joined the Baker Katz team in August 2024—where he is responsible for
overseeing design and construction phases to bring innovation and efficiency to retail
developments.

Prior to joining Baker Katz, Martin was a design director with The Hanover Company where he
led the project design process from conception to completion and managed the project design
team to align with the company’s creative project vision. In his role, Mendoza was also
responsible for managing and executing multiple project types across different geographies while
overseeing projects with budgets ranging from $37M to $120M.

Martin graduated from The University of Houston in 2001 with a B.Arch from Gerald D. Hines
College of Architecture. His work has also been published in the Evidence Technology Magazine
(September-October 2013) for the design of the New Harris County Institute of Forensic
Genetics Laboratory in Houston, Texas.

Outside of the office, Martin enjoys cycling, fishing, painting and spending time with his family.
