Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar expanding to in Houston area

Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar, a chain patterned after a Rocky Mountain lodge serving comfort food, handcrafted cocktails and craft beers, is expanding in the Houston area. After opening in Cypress in 2019, the restaurant announce plans for a location in Waterview Town Center at 4810 Waterview Meadow Drive in Richmond in 2023, following its expansion to Stafford at 12223 Southwest Freeway in July. Jason Baker of Baker Katz and Brian Kjos of Kjos Restaurant Group represented Lazy Dog in the lease at Waterview Town Center. Founded by Chris Simms in southern California in 2003, Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar has locations in California, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Nevada, Virginia, Florida and Texas.

Capital One Café opened a 6,300-square-foot location in the Galleria on Level 2, near Apple. The café, which is open to the public whether or not they have an account, offers a place to bank, get answers to financial questions, recharge personal devices and connect to free Wi-Fi. There are 51 Capital One Cafés nationwide, including other Texas locations in Austin and San Antonio.

Dutch Bros, an Oregon-based coffee and beverage chain, purchased a 1-acre site in the Shops at Katy Reserve for the development of an 833-square-foot kiosk with two drive-thru lanes. The Kroger-anchored Shops at Katy Reserve is a 40-acre development of NewQuest Properties at FM 1463 and Spring Green Boulevard in the Katy area. Greg Slusky of Sluco Realty is representing Dutch Bros in its Houston expansion. Kevin Sims of NewQuest Properties brokered the deal along with J.J. McDermott, formerly with NewQuest, represented the seller. Opening is planned in the first quarter of 2023.

EAM Holdings purchased 3.7 acres at 12629 Interstate-10 East in Mont Belvieu as the site of a new 9,300-square-foot freestanding building for the Red River Cantina Tex-Mex restaurant. Shaw Commercial Properties represented the seller, the city of Mont Belvieu.

Crave Restaurant and Lounge leased, 4,614 square feet at 516 Westheimer next to Traveler’s Table in the Lower Westheimer/Montrose area. Tooba Patoli and Rafael Melara of Hunington Properties represented the tenant.

Rise Soufflé, a French soufflé bistro and wine bar with locations in Dallas and Fort Worth, is coming to Creekside Park West at 26435 Kuykendahl Road in The Woodlands. Scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2023, the restaurant is designed with a casual French country atmosphere with antiques and original touches from France. The menu focuses on the soufflé along with soups, salads and cheese platters. CEO Chris Florczak said the design plans include a dog friendly climate-controlled patio. The deal brings Creekside Park West to 90 percent leased, according to Marissa Moreau, manager of leasing for the Howard Hughes Corp. Other tenants include Cinépolis Luxury Cinemas and Glo Sun Spa, StretchLab, Venetian Nail Spa, Baja Sur Fresh-Mex and Tequila Bar, Glimpse Eye Care, Press Waffle Co., Scooter’s Coffee, YogaSix and Pure Barre.

National chain dd’s Discounts, a division of Ross Stores selling apparel, accessories, footwear and home goods, opened an 18,000-square-foot store in the Southway Shopping Center at the southwest corner of South Gessner Road and Beechnut. The chain has 68 stores in Texas and 306 locations overall.

Tin Rx Pharmacy leased 2,475 square feet in the First Colony Commons Shopping Center, at 15271 Southwest Freeway and Williams Trace Boulevard in Sugar Land. Kristen Barker and Katherine Wildman of Wulfe & Co. represented the landlord.

Eclipse CBD Wellness Vape & More leased 1,720 square feet in the Clay Road Retail Center at 19560 Clay Road in Katy. Larson Riff and Nick Jasien of Friedman Real Estate arranged the lease.

MedCure Clinic leased 1,550 square feet at Shops at Alief Clodine, 6221 Highway 6 South. Gustavo Lopez of Resolut RE represented the landlord.
