Retail wrap: Bluestone Lane, Sweet Paris Crêperie & Café, Pet Supplies Plus plan new locations

Bluestone Lane, an Australian-inspired coffee roaster and neighborhood café base din New York, leased a 4,400-square-foot building at 115 W. 19th St. in the Heights neighborhood for its first Texas location. The building, now owned by Wolf Capital Partners, was previously home to Becks Prime.

Daniel Bodner, senior director at Alvarez & Marshall Property Solutions in New York, along with Chris Reyes and Tyler Trevino of Shop Cos. represented the tenant.

“Houston is a market with huge growth potential as it offers a great mix of local residents and urban professional,” Nick Stone, founder and CEO of Bluestone Lane, said in an announcement. “Our first venture into Texas, this location will provide our signature premium coffee along with our entire cafe menu of deliciously healthy all-day fare.”

Bluestone Lane operates 51 coffee shops and cafés across the U.S., including locations in New York, Los Angeles, Washington D.C., Boston and San Fransisco. The Houston shop plans an early 2022 opening.

Sweet Paris Crêperie & Café will relocate its original site in Rice Village to a new location to be built at 5411 Morningside Drive in 2022. Sweet Paris was founded in 2012 at 2420 Rice Blvd. by Allison and Ivan Chavez. Burdette Huffman of the Blue Ox Group represented the landlord, Rice Management Co. Brian Ashby and Sidney Dixon of CBRE represented Sweet Paris.

Pet Supplies Plus is expanding in the Houston market with new locations in Sienna, Conroe, Baytown, Kingwood, West University Place and Pearland, according to Houston-based Baker Katz. Lunden McGill of Baker Kat completed the 10-year leases at each location for the retailer.

The Sienna store at the Sienna Crossing shopping center on Texas 6 is slated to open in the fourth quarter. Lauren Shepperd of Williamsburg Enterprises represented the landlord. The Conroe store, in the Target-anchored Towne Center shopping plaza on Interstate 45 North, will also open in the fourth quarter. Sharon Biles of Saber Properties represented the landlord. The Baytown location will open in Chamber Town Center, at Interstate 10 and Texas 146, in the first quarter. Austen Baldrige with NewQuest Properties represented the landlord. The Kingwood location will open in King’s Crossing, at West Lake Houston Parkway and Kingwood Drive, in the first quarter. Christie Vanzant with Kimco Properties represented the landlord. The West University area store will open in Braes Heights on Bellaire Boulevard at Stella Link during the first quarter. Wilson Mayfield of Brixmor represented the landlord. The Pearland location will open in the second quarter at the Broadway Plaza on Broadway Street. Shaffer Braun with NAI represented the landlord.

Tint World Automotive Styling Centers, an auto accessory and window tinting franchise, opened a stores are 3115 Fondren. The business is owned by franchisees Sameer and Huma Khan.

Semper Laser, a laser hair removal company, opened a location at 25 Waterway Ave. in The Woodlands, according to the Howard Hughes Corp. Located next to Morton’s Grille, Semper Laser now has two locations in Houston.
