Baker Katz Acquires Atascocita Acreage

Houston-based Baker Katz has acquired a 4.5-acre property with plans to renovate two existing buildings totaling 33,000 square feet located near the cross streets of Farm to Market Road 1960 and West Lake Houston Parkway in Atascocita.

“The ideal location of this property is situated in the dense Atascocita trade area serving the growing community along Lake Houston and suburbs of Houston, an area that is currently experiencing high tenant demand with a limited supply of available space,” said Baker Katz development partner Neal Wade, who led the charge on the acquisition, told GlobeSt.com.

“The remodel will appeal to new national and regional tenants—offering a more diverse retail experience for local consumers.”

The firm plans to renovate the two buildings that were constructed in 1984 to update the architecture and attract new tenants. Located at 7140 Farm Market Road 1960, construction is slated to begin early next year.
