High Traffic Intersection Gets Custom-Built Retail

HOUSTON—Advance Auto Parts is soon to be located at the intersection of Farm to Market Road 1960 and Aldine Westfield Road. A 30,000-square-foot land parcel has been purchased along with a 7,000-square-foot lease put in place on behalf of the auto parts retailer, says Baker Katz cofounder and principal, Kenneth Katz.

Katz tells GlobeSt.com: “We are proud to have been a part of this transaction to bring a new retailer to the market. We are confident this prominent national brand is positioned for success at this location.”

Construction on the retail structure is to begin this month and opening is slated for May 2016. Traci Holman and Jason Baker of Baker Katz represented Advance Auto Parts.

“This property is located at a heavily trafficked intersection with demographics that are favorable to auto parts sales,” said Katz. “Advance Auto Parts will be well-positioned for success in this custom-built facility.”

Founded in 1932, Advance Auto Parts has grown to operate more than 5,200 stores in the United States, Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands and Canada. The retail store is the largest automotive aftermarket parts provider in North America, and values all customers ranging from professional installers to do-it-yourself customers.

Houston-based Baker Katz is an X Team international partner and full-service commercial real estate brokerage firm specializing in retail tenant representation, investment sales, and project development and leasing.
